(Boulder, CO) The Amy D. Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of Averi Firari to the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Firari, a graduate student in Exercise Science/ Kinesiology, head coach with Otterhaus Coaching, retired professional mountain biker, and former U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant, comes to the foundation with a wealth of experience. The addition of Firari will continue to aid in the sustainable expansion of the overall impact of the Amy D. Foundation’s road, cyclocross and mountain bike programs.

“All of us at the Amy D. Foundation see the addition of Firari as a way to continue to build momentum and expand our efforts to foster development, equity, and representation in women’s cycling. We are extremely excited to utilize the knowledge and experience Firari has to help us work to strengthen and diversify the participation of women’s cycling through our racing programs, mentorships, training camps, and community involvement,” said Julie Kuliecza, Executive Director of the foundation.

Firari’s years of experience will provide valuable insight and positive impact on the foundation programing moving into 2022. “I am honored by the opportunity to join the Board of Directors of the Amy D. Foundation. This organization has become a fervent voice for equity and inclusion. I look forward to working with the Amy D. Foundation to advance inclusion in sports and to build more opportunities for underrepresented groups in women’s cycling. ”
