Amy D. Breaking Barriers CX Race — Sunday, Oct 2nd!

The third annual Breaking Barriers cyclocross race in honor of Amy Dombroski will be held in Boulder, CO on October 2nd. Amy was a young, vivacious professional cyclocross racer tragically killed while training in Belgium three years ago.  A U23 National Champion in road, cross-country mountain biking, and cyclocross, Amy once said “…cyclocross tends to have a niche cult following. It’s different, it’s edgier, it accepts everyone.”  Amy had energy about her and a soul that far surpassed her 26 years on this Earth. In Amy’s memory, The Amy D. Foundation was established to encourage and support young women through cycling, inspiring the celebration of healthy challenge and empowering the confident pursuit of lofty dreams.  Collaborating with industry and non-profit partners alike, Amy D. Foundation programming builds participation, opportunity, and equality for women in the sport.
